💡 The stretch between the Renfe station and the canal is the most family-friendly. There are public showers and toilets. The water stays shallow for many metres, ideal for babies. The beach bars have high chairs.

💡 The crypt is small and can be visited in 20 minutes. The surrounding gardens are perfect for kids to run around. Children under 10 get in free.

💡 Go first thing in the morning to see the most birds. Paths are flat and perfect for a bike with a child seat. There are wooden bird hides where kids can 'spy' on birds.

💡 The Font del Lleo in the main square has water at 74°C — don't let kids put their hands in directly. The Thermalia museum is small and quick to visit with children. Pleasant terraces on the square for a drink.

💡 Codorniu has a little train that runs through the underground cellars and kids love it. Book online in advance. The gardens are spacious for them to run around afterwards.

💡 The Sant Joan funicular is stroller-friendly. Bring snacks because there's not much to buy at the top. Go early to avoid queues.

💡 Go on Saturday morning to catch the Mercat de la Placa. Kids can try bits of fuet and cheese at the stalls. The square is pedestrianised so they can run freely.

💡 The hanging bridge is a hit with kids but can be slightly scary for some. The streets are cobbled and uneven: babywearing is better than a stroller. The trail to Sallent waterfall is easy but has some steps.

💡 Park in the town car park (signposted) and walk down. The main beach (Platja Gran) has lifeguards in summer and very calm water for toddlers.

💡 The main path (itinerary 2) is completely flat and stroller-suitable. In autumn the forest is incredible, but go early because it gets busy. Free parking at the entrance.
